Merchant Terms

These Merchant Terms supplement the Linkyoo Terms of Service and apply specifically to businesses that enable and use Linkyoo’s payment features. By activating payment collection on your Linkyoo storefront, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service.

  • “Merchant” or “you” means the business owner who has enabled Linkyoo’s payment features on their storefront.
  • “Customer” means the end user who places and pays for an order through your Linkyoo storefront page.
  • “Flutterwave” means Flutterwave Inc., Linkyoo’s payment processing partner.

1. Payment Processing Partner

Linkyoo’s payment collection and payout infrastructure is powered by Flutterwave. By enabling payment features on Linkyoo, you agree to Flutterwave’s Terms of Service in addition to these Merchant Terms. Your access to payment features is contingent on Flutterwave’s onboarding and compliance requirements, which may change from time to time.

2. Customer Transaction Fees

When a customer pays for an order through your Linkyoo storefront, a platform processing fee is charged to the customer on top of the order total. This fee is disclosed to the customer at checkout before payment is confirmed.

Payment Method Fee Charged to Customer
Mobile Money 4% of the order total
Card (any type) 5% of the order total

These fees cover payment processing costs. They are not deducted from the amount settled to you as a merchant — they are added to the customer’s total at the point of payment.

3. Merchant Payouts and Withdrawal Charges

When you withdraw funds from your Linkyoo payment balance to your bank account or mobile money wallet, a transfer charge applies at the time of withdrawal. Withdrawal charges are deducted from the amount being transferred — you cannot complete a withdrawal without the applicable transfer charge being covered.

Linkyoo’s payout infrastructure uses Flutterwave’s transfer pricing. The charges below apply to Uganda and are sourced from Flutterwave’s published pricing. All amounts are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) and exclude VAT and any other applicable local taxes.

Destination Charge per Transfer
Bank account transfer UGX 5,000 per transfer
Mobile Money transfer below UGX 125,000 UGX 1,000 per transfer
Mobile Money transfer UGX 125,000 or more 1.2% of the transfer amount

Minimum withdrawal: UGX 1,000.

These charges are set by Flutterwave and are subject to change in line with Flutterwave’s published pricing. Linkyoo will endeavour to reflect any changes promptly, but you should review Flutterwave’s pricing page for the most current information.

4. Settlement

Payments collected through your Linkyoo storefront are reconciled and settled to your registered mobile money or bank account on the next business day after the transaction is confirmed, subject to Flutterwave’s settlement timelines and any applicable holds or reviews.

5. Country Availability and Currency

Businesses register on Linkyoo from a specific country. The payment methods, payout destinations, supported currencies, and applicable fee structures available to you depend on the country in which your business is registered. Linkyoo and Flutterwave do not guarantee that all payment or payout features described in these terms are available in every country.

If your business country changes, or if you operate across multiple jurisdictions, you must contact us to confirm which features and terms apply to your account.

6. Merchant Responsibilities

As a merchant using Linkyoo’s payment features, you are responsible for:

7. Suspension of Payment Features

Linkyoo reserves the right to suspend or revoke your access to payment features at any time in cases of suspected fraud, excessive chargebacks, policy violations, or regulatory requirements, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the situation.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Merchant Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our pricing, payment infrastructure, or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date on this page. Continued use of Linkyoo’s payment features after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
