Your customers can now pay you directly when they place an order on your Linkyoo page. Payments are available today for eligible businesses, and you can request access in a couple of taps from the Linkyoo app.
This guide explains how payments work, when your money settles, who can use it, and exactly how to turn it on.
Who can use payments
Payments are available on our paid plans — Pro, Plus, and Enterprise.
If you are on the Free plan, payments are not included. Upgrade to any paid plan from the app, then request access. You can compare plans on our pricing page.
Being on a paid plan makes you eligible to request payments. Each request is reviewed by the Linkyoo team before payments are switched on for your business — see Requesting access below.
How it works
Payments on Linkyoo are powered by Flutterwave, a trusted pan-African payments provider.
Once payments are enabled for your business:
- A customer browses your Linkyoo page and places an order.
- At checkout they pay with Mobile Money.
- The money is collected on your behalf and shows up in your in-app wallet.
- You withdraw your balance to your Mobile Money or bank account whenever you like.
A small 4% processing fee is added to the customer’s payment at checkout to cover payment processing — so the amount you are owed for the order is not reduced by it.
When your money settles
Linkyoo uses a T+1 settlement model: a payment you receive on one day is released to you the next business day.
Your wallet shows three figures, and money flows between them automatically:
- Pending — payments customers have just made. The money is yours, but it is still being settled and cannot be withdrawn yet.
- Available — settled funds that are ready to withdraw.
- Total — simply your Available plus Pending balance.
Settlement runs three times a day, so funds move from Pending to Available on their own — you never have to do anything to release your money. The three daily settlement windows are:
- 00:30 UTC
- 07:00 UTC
- 09:00 UTC
The app shows these times converted to your local timezone, so you always see exactly when your money is due. Settlement may take slightly longer on weekends and public holidays.
Checking settlement from your wallet
Your earnings dashboard has a wallet card at the top that makes all of this clear at a glance:
- Tap the question-mark icon (?) in the top-right of the wallet card to open a step-by-step explainer of what Total, Available, and Pending each mean and how money moves between them.
- Whenever you have pending funds, a “Pending settles by …” line appears under your balances with the exact date and time your money is due. Tap it to see all three daily settlement windows in your local timezone.
Withdrawing your balance
You can withdraw your Available balance anytime from the Earnings tab to:
- A Mobile Money wallet, or
- A bank account.
A standard payout fee applies, deducted from the withdrawal amount:
| Destination | Fee |
|---|---|
| Bank account | UGX 5,000 flat |
| Mobile Money (below UGX 125,000) | UGX 1,000 flat |
| Mobile Money (UGX 125,000 and above) | 1.2% of the withdrawal amount |
The minimum withdrawal is UGX 1,000. Every withdrawal goes through a quick confirmation step so you stay in control of your money.
Requesting access
You request payments from the Linkyoo app, not the website. Here is the flow:
- Open the Linkyoo app and sign in as the business owner.
- Go to the Earnings tab.
- Tap Request Access and review the short payment terms.
- Tap I Agree & Request Access.
Your request is sent to the Linkyoo team for review. You will see a “Request sent” status in the app while it is being checked. Once approved, payments switch on automatically and the Earnings tab becomes your earnings dashboard — no further setup needed.
If a request is ever declined, you are welcome to re-apply from the same screen.
What you get
With payments enabled, your business can:
- Collect Mobile Money payments from customers at checkout.
- See a full transaction history with timestamps.
- Withdraw your balance anytime to Mobile Money or a bank account.
- Have funds settled the next business day, automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything to receive a payment? The 4% processing fee is added to the customer’s payment at checkout, so the order amount you are owed is not reduced. Standard payout fees apply only when you withdraw.
Which currency are payments in? Mobile Money payments are processed in Ugandan Shillings (UGX).
How long until I can spend the money? Payments settle the next business day. Once a payment moves from Pending to Available, you can withdraw it right away.
I’m on the Free plan — can I still accept payments? Not yet. Upgrade to Pro, Plus, or Enterprise from the app, then request access from the Earnings tab.
Ready to start collecting payments? Open the Linkyoo app, head to the Earnings tab, and request access. If you are still on the Free plan, take a look at our plans first.
